While group classes are a fantastic way to decide whether Pilates is for you, 1-1 sessions will elevate your Pilates experience to the next level. Our dedicated Pilates room means you have 100% privacy and dedicated focus from your coach while you exercise.

By working with your own highly experienced coach, your Pilates exercise sessions become even more effective - working specifically with your ability, fitness levels, and fitness goals.

Our Pilates space has a studio-quality Reformer, ample space for mat work sessions, a dedicated sound system, and its own air conditioning system - so the environment will be tailored to suit you perfectly.

Why is Pilates so Effective?

Pilates offers a range of benefits that make it either a perfect addition to other types of exercise - or simply an excellent stand-alone way to enhance balance, stability, and longevity. Pilates movements are very carefully designed 'isolating' exercises - meaning they focus on specific muscle groups. By isolating certain muscles and muscle groups, Pilates becomes an exceptionally effective way of improving 'core' strength.

These core muscles that Pilates is so effective at targetting are the ones that you're using virtually all the time - whether standing, sitting, walking, running, lifting, bending or using your muscles in the countless other ways you might day-to-day.

As such, Pilates is an excellent way to enhance muscular strength and flexibility - helping to make you more resilient and less likely to find yourself injured or picking up common aches and pains that are so frequent in modern life. What's more, many people find the focus on controlled movements and breathing techniques even helps to create mental clarity and stress reduction.

How We Use Pilates at Fitness Lab

Typically, people will talk to us about Pilates sessions with a goal in mind. Sometimes, that goal will relate to increasing strength and flexbility. In other cases, it could be to do with losing weight and toning up. For some people, the goal will be more focused on injury rehabilitation or prevention.

Our approach to Pilates is very flexible. Rather than prescribing an off-the-shelf set of workouts for everyone, we'll take time to listen to you about your goals, your excercise experience, and your personal preferences. By doing so, we can think about the huge range of Pilates-based exercises and movements - then create a completely personalised plan that will help you work towards your goals.

What's more, since each of our coaches has exceptional knowledge spanning a range of training approaches - we can even explain when you might benefit from adding some alternative movements or resistance exercises into your program.

Coaching That's Right for You

When we say we'll tailor your coaching to work specifically for you, we really mean it. For some people, that means focusing on specific goals and supporting your journey with nutrition support or advice about small lifestyle adjustments that will help.

In other cases, personalising your Fitness Lab experience involves making sure your coach is perfectly matched to you. For example, you might require a female coach you can work 1-1 with - or a space that you know is absolutely private so you can comfortably exercise without covering your hair or in relaxed gym clothing.

London is an exciting city with residents from around the world. Whatever it takes to make sure our studio environment is right for you, we'll make sure it happens.

No Membership Fees - Pay for Your Sessions and Nothing More

We never charge membership fees at Fitness Lab - you simply pay for your Pilates sessions and nothing more. If you'd like to supplement your Pilates classes with some personal training, the session fee is exactly the same - so you can swap between Pilates and 1-1 personal training if that would help you work towards your goals.

The sessions you pay for never expire either - so whether you're working away, on holiday, or just in need of some time away from the studio, you can pick back up whenever suits you. However, if you can't make it to the studio but still want to work out, your coach will be more than happy to provide some online training via the cutting-edge Fitness Lab app.

Radomira is a great coach. Highly motivating, fun, excellent listener, sessions with her are never boring. She know how to push people out of the comfort zone without forcing them. Rare quality for a coach. The studio itself is optimally located at the heat of Soho and is very well equipped. The concept of a coach-only gym is not common and probably the best option for anyone who take their fitness seriously.

I have been with Fitness Lab for 2 years it has been a gradual transition to strength and fitness working with my excellent trainer Ash. It isn’t a quick fix to weight loss but a longer term investment in being a stronger me. With the individual focus I just don’t have to think about having to motivate myself, or worry about whether I am using the weights correctly, Ash takes care of that and gradually pushes me to push myself.

I chose Fitness Lab because the idea of a gym with a more intimate atmosphere, free from overwhelming crowds was very appealing to me. Originally, I planned to join for just a couple of months to get ready for summer, but here I am in November, still committed! I would absolutely recommend Fitness Lab to anyone who is looking get the best PT experience in London. It really helps to be working out in a private space rather than in a public gym and the facilities and equipment are all first-rate and well-maintained. I have to give a huge thank you to my PT, Ash, who has turbo-charged my training. He has put the time, effort and his knowledge into tailoring my workouts to achieve my goals. I don't feel like I'm aimlessly working out or unsure of whether I'm doing the right thing or not anymore and the results have been fantastic. I'm improving in areas that I have always struggled with and it just makes me even more motivated. Ash always brings the right vibe so that I look forward to each session rather than it feeling like a chore. He keeps the workouts varied to make things interesting and if there is ever something I can't do because of injury then he is able to adapt when necessary.
