Professional Experience

Max, with over eight years of personal training experience, pursued a Masters degree in Marine Biology before realising his true passion lies in assisting individuals in achieving their health and fitness objectives. He obtained a REPs Level 3 certificate in 2013 and has since collaborated with diverse clients across New Zealand and the UK. Complementing his gym training, Max is certified at Precision Nutrition level 1. 

Coaching Philosophy

Max has trained and finds satisfaction in working with clients who have a variety of goals, ranging from weight-loss, strength training for events or endurance races, to simply striving to become the best version of themselves. His objective is to achieve the ideal balance of safely and enjoyably pushing individuals towards their aspirations. Max firmly believes that with the appropriate guidance and commitment, no goal is insurmountable. 

Personal Interests

Max, who represented New Zealand in Triathlon at an age group level, participated in a world championship race held in Canada. While he maintains a keen interest in triathlon, Max has retired his running shoes and now dedicates the majority of his training time to enhancing strength in the gym. An avid outdoors enthusiast, he enjoys exploring the countryside on his bike or navigating the city streets on foot.
