After graduating from Southampton Solent University with a BSc in Fitness and Personal Training, Matt gained his REP’s Level 3 qualification and has been delivering high-quality personal training sessions in both public and private sectors for the past 5 years. His passion to help others work towards their goals has allowed him to work with a variety of clients ranging from ex-military personnel to international DJ’s. Matt is also Exercise Referral qualified and has previously run GP referral courses to assist clients in both group and 1-2-1 settings.

Matt’s coaching philosophy is that there is no ‘one size fits all’ method to training, every one of us is different and will all thrive off of different types of sessions. Building strength as a foundation to work from can be a great way to work towards any goal set with the right guidance, support, knowledge, and motivation.

Matt loves to challenge himself outside of the gym as well as in it. So when you don’t find him in the gym training, you would likely find him out on his road bike or running. He enjoys meeting up with friends on the weekends to talk all things rugby and discuss the next trip away, as he is a keen snowboarder having lived and worked in Austria in 2018.
