Conquer your mind, and your body will follow. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable, let’s get to work.
Professional Experience
Carlos is a multi-time national swimming medalist, a certified personal trainer with two years of experience, and an amateur MMA athlete. Fitness is central to his identity. He holds Australian Certificates III and IV in Fitness and Personal Training, as well as AustSwim and Australian Swim Coaching certifications.
Carlos trained at a national level for 10 years under Olympian Ashley Callus, setting records and earning state and national medals. He has also expanded his expertise in areas such as Mentoring, Mental Health and Exercise, Olympic Lifting, Kettlebell Techniques, Nutrition Strategies, and Long-Term Programming.
Coaching Philosophy
Carlos’s coaching philosophy centers on cultivating positive habits both inside and outside the gym. He believes that there is no meaningful “quick fix” in fitness; instead, consistent small improvements lead to exceptional growth over time. Carlos prioritises discipline over motivation, emphasising that building a foundation of mental and physical strength and wellness is far more important than merely pursuing a specific physique.
Personal Interests
Carlos has a deep passion for MMA, having previously trained under 10-time world kickboxing champion John Wayne Parr and BJJ champion Daniel Almeida. He trains 5-6 days a week, and when not in training, he focuses on strength conditioning or researching new training methods. Beyond fitness, Carlos enjoys experimenting with new recipes, exploring different cuisines, and spending quality time talking with his family in Australia.
