Layth
All things change in a dynamic environment. Your effort to remain what you are is what limits you.
Professional Experience
Layth brings a strong athletic background and a disciplined approach to coaching at Fitness Lab. His foundation was built through competitive swimming, training six days per week under structured programming, which developed his appreciation for consistency, technique, and long-term progression.
After leaving competitive swimming, Layth transitioned into gym-based training and has spent the past seven years training across bodybuilding and powerlifting, continually expanding his knowledge through research and practical experience. Alongside this, he has specialised in private adult swimming lessons for the past three years, coaching clients from complete beginners through to Ironman and triathlon athletes, both in the pool and in the gym.
Qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and a Level 2 Swimming Instructor, Layth brings together technical coaching, strength training, and a well-rounded understanding of performance and progression.
Coaching Philosophy
Layth believes that the best results come from a strong foundation of trust, understanding, and clear communication between coach and client. He places great importance on creating a positive, supportive training environment where clients feel comfortable, confident, and motivated throughout their journey.
Known for his patient and empathetic approach, Layth takes the time needed to ensure exercises are performed safely, effectively, and with confidence. He understands that progress looks different for everyone and firmly believes in adapting training to suit each individual’s needs, goals, and abilities. His coaching style is flexible, client-centred, and focused on building sustainable habits that support both physical and mental wellbeing.
By combining his own consistent training experience with clear instruction and attention to detail, Layth ensures that every session is purposeful, enjoyable, and aligned with the client’s long-term success.
Personal Interests
Outside of the gym, Layth remains closely connected to sport and movement. He continues to swim regularly and enjoys playing tennis and football with family and friends, sports that have been part of his life since childhood.
He also has a strong interest in travel and enjoys exploring new cultures, having recently expanded his travels beyond Europe to destinations including Asia and Australia.
