Professional Experience

Frances is an Active IQ Level 3 qualified personal trainer who blends technical coaching with a caring, detail-oriented approach. Her sporting foundation was shaped by more than a decade as a competitive swimmer, which developed discipline, resilience and precise technique. She later trained full-time in dance for three years and continues to immerse herself in movement through regular Pilates and gymnastics, giving her a deep understanding of mobility, control and body awareness.

Alongside her formal qualification, Frances has delivered beginner jazz and street dance classes and coached one-to-one sessions for friends and family, often focusing on Pilates, calisthenics-based strength, and dance-centric conditioning. This breadth helps her tailor programmes that feel enjoyable and achievable, whether the goal is improving form, building strength, or moving more freely day to day.

Coaching Philosophy

Frances believes fitness is a privilege, not a punishment. She prioritises empathy, patience and sustainability over quick fixes. Training with her is structured and progressive but never at the expense of health. She listens closely, adapts exercises to suit individual needs and preferences, and champions consistency as the engine of long-term change. Clients can expect to work hard without being pushed to burnout, to respect recovery as part of the plan, and to celebrate small wins that compound over time. Her aim is simple: help people feel strong, confident and capable while building habits that elevate overall quality of life.

Personal Interests

Frances’ own training keeps her curious and creative. She enjoys dance in many styles including contemporary, hip hop, commercial and jazz, as well as popping, locking, dancehall and amapiano. She practises calisthenics, Pilates and gymnastics, with a particular interest in contortion and tumbling, and she loves climbing. She also has an interest in martial arts, having explored taekwondo, wing chun and karate. This variety feeds into her coaching, offering clients fresh ideas for movement that is both effective and fun.
